Q. What are the benefits of selling my property privately?

A. The main benefit of selling your property privately is that you will save yourself several thousand pounds. Estate agents charge on average of 2% commission and with the average UK property now nearing 200,000 that would mean paying £4000.

Q. Will I pay a commission fee to you if I advertise on this site?

A. No, we only charge the one off fee at the start, so you will not have to pay anything extra when you sell your property.

Q. Will I sell my property quickly through this site?

A. Any serious buyer looking for a property, like yours, should contact you via the website, once they have seen the 'For Sale' board, much like they would if an estate agent were marketing the property.

Q. Can I sell my property privately even if I am already selling through an estate agent?

A. The simple answer is yes, but some unfair estate agents will try and sneak this into the contract. Selling privately is no different from selling your property to a family member. As long as the buyer of your property was not introduced via the estate agent, you should not be liable to pay them any commission, but check your contract first to confirm this.

Q. What do I do when I get an offer on my property?

A. So you have advertised privately, had the viewings and now you have an offer. Well if you are happy with the offer and are willing to proceed all you need to do is get the details of your buyer's solicitor and pass this information on to your solicitor. Your solicitor will then take care of the rest. It is that simple.

Q. What will happen once I place an ad on your website?

A. Once your ad has been placed you will receive a confirmation email, which will contain the details of your ad. Through this email you will be able to edit and change content and add or replace photographs. You can also cancel your ad via this email. 'For Sale' boards will be posted within 3-5 working days.

Q. I placed and paid for an ad, but it is not visible on the website yet?

A. All ads need to go through an approval process, which could take up to a few hours. If within 24 hours it is still not viewable you should contact us.

Q. How long will my ad stay on the website?

A. Your ad can stay on for up to 1 year, but you can always remove it anytime you wish via the confirmation email you received when you first placed the ad.
